Broccoli Cheddar Soup



1/4 Cup butter

1 white onion ,diced

1/4 Cup all-purpose flour

2 cup cream

2cup chicken broth

1 pound broccoli florets and stems , chopped

1 large carrot, chopped

8 ounces Cheddar cheese, grated

1 1/2 tsp 1 tsp brack pepper



Directions

Butter on stovetop medium heat
Add onion until translucent
About 4-5 minutes
Stir flour the onion mixture and countinue
To cook for minute

Gradually whisk cream and broth into the mixture

Add chopped broccoli and carrots to the pot
Bring the soup to a slight simmer, cover
And continue simmering for 20 minutes until broccoli and carrots are tender.
